Permissive Referendums
Permissive Referendums (known as PR's) are public announcements that the Fire District is requesting the expenditure of funds from dedicated accounts (typically capital reserve accounts) for specific purposes. These PR's usually are for the purchase of assets for the district that are not factored into the annual line item operating budget. The expenditure will not be made until waiting 30 days for the next available public meeting, at which time the public may comment prior to the Board of Fire Commissioners authorizing the expenditure.
